The Houduras national football team was beaten by the United States national football team a few weeks ago. he team won seven of the eight matches they played against Barbados, Cuba, Guatemala, and Trinidad & Tobago throughout the Second and Third Rounds of qualifying games. By doing so, they qualified to play in the Fourth Round against other teams including Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Mexico and Trinidad & Tobago.

The start of the first round went well as they defeated Mexico 2-0. The United States men’s national soccer team now has a winning streak of 11 matches against the Mexican team. Round two was played against El Salvador ending in a 2-2 draw away. Round three included a record-breaking play by Jozy Altidore as he became the youngest US player to score a hat-trick. The US team won 3-0 against Trinidad & Tobago. Round five was no good for the United States men’s national soccer team as they were beaten by Costa Rica 3-1. However, they beat Honduras 2-1 only three days later.

Honduras are now set to play Jose Bosingwa and Ricardo Carvalho's Portugal.
